Rigtig god podcast, med mange gode pointer og gode argumenter for, hvorfor det er vigtigt også at træne kasteteknik 🙂

The more I think about it the more bizarre I find it that the FFI and other associations are not fully embracing sports coaching science. You would think that they would do everything in their power not to become antiquated. Biomechanics and coaching movement are central to what we do; and quite fascinating as well. […]

E.g. you could compute the MOI of a straight rope, but it has not much application, right? Maybe you'd like to compute rather the torque? So you’re suggesting integrating the formula \(\tau=I\alpha\) for the line? Or did you have something else in mind? Would you suggest some standard of perhaps 10 meters of 5 wt line […]

Do you still think the line in the rod leg will have an MOI value even though it is not rotating? You have sort of answered my question so let's deal with your question before moving on.I'm not sure why you specify rod leg. In none of my scenarios is a rod leg involved. It is […]

Nothing more or less than \(\tau=I*\alpha\)Do we agree on that?Walter,Yes. With no mass attached to the tip of the rod the angular acceleration of a rigid body will depend on the bodies MOI and and the applied torque (or more likely a moment) applied around its rotation axis. As noted in this physics forum:A moment […]

I have the L2 Angling Trust Coaches Award Paul. It’s distinctly lightweight on learning theory and there’s no requirement to have any assessment of technical understanding or performance skills. It’s big on H&S and lesson planning…which is handy for sure but not quite the same as the stuff we’re talking about.Statistics: Posted by Stoatstail50 — Mon […]
